Enabling passkeys provides effective protection against phishing and fraud attacks while simplifying your operations. You can log in quickly and securely using facial recognition, fingerprint authentication, or your device’s PIN, without entering a password or verification code.
Add a passkey
- Log in to the f2pool app, tap “Me” at the bottom, then tap the gear icon in the upper right corner.
- Select “Security settings.”
- Select “Passkey”, enter your login password and verification code as prompted, then tap “Continue.”
- Choose where you would like to store or bind the passkey, and follow the instructions to complete the setup.
After successful binding, a confirmation email regarding the passkey setup will be sent to your registered email address.
Modify/Delete a passkey
- Log in to the f2pool app, tap “Me” at the bottom, then tap the gear icon in the upper right corner.
- Select “Security settings.”
- Select “Passkey”.
- From here you can edit the name of your passkey or delete it following the on‑screen instructions:
- Enable/Disable verification for critical actions: Click the button next to “Passkey required for critical actions.” Blue indicates enabled, gray indicates disabled. This is enabled by default.
- Add a passkey: Click “+Add a passkey” and follow the instructions to add.
- Edit a passkey name: Select the part you need to modify, click the “Edit” icon, and enter the new name.
- Delete a passkey: Select the part you need to delete, click the “Delete” icon, and follow the prompts to verify the passkey. Upon successful verification, the passkey will be deleted. You will also receive a confirmation email. Note: After deletion, features such as adding Hashrate Transfer and adding Reward Distribution will be disabled for 72 hours.
Additional notes
- After successfully adding a passkey, modifications and account settings operations (like login, wallet address modification) will prioritize passkey verification. The account is set to default to “passkey required for critical actions,” where operations (including login and wallet modifications) will require passkey verification and no other verification methods will be allowed. Please keep your passkeys secure to avoid login issues. You can disable this setting in passkey settings if your passkey is unavailable, allowing you to use two-factor authentication instead.
- Adding and modifying passkeys are independent operations. During the setup process, ensure not to refresh the page and complete each step within 3 minutes to avoid a timeout and operation failure, which would require you to restart from the initial step.
- If you repeatedly fail passkey verification during modification, the feature may be temporarily disabled. You can check the popup for the disabled timeframe. To prevent this, prepare your passkeys in advance or use other verification methods as guided.
- Multiple verifications are required for first-time passkey addition. Ensure your email, phone number, or two-factor authentication app is operational.
- We support multiple passkey storage methods (such as Chrome Profiles, Google Password Manager, hardware keys, Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones/tablets, 1Password, and iCloud Keychain). Please secure these platforms and devices to prevent passkey breaches.
- A main account can add up to 10 passkeys.
- If you encounter “Passkey Not Available” during modification or deletion, submit a support ticket to reset. Post-reset, features such as Adding Hashrate Transfer and Reward Distribution features will be disabled for 72 hours.
- Passkeys are an additional security verification method and operate independently of two-factor authentication. Please use them as needed.
- If you permanently delete an account and restore it within 30 days, the passkey function and original settings will automatically restore.
