How to Stake Polygon (POL)

Polygon (formerly Matic Network) is an Ethereum-based cryptocurrency project. As a Layer 2 scaling solution, it improves Ethereum’s scalability using blockchain technology, with zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP) as its core technology.

f2pool has partnered with stakefish to provide users with stable and secure POL staking services. You can stake POL and earn rewards on stakefish by following these steps:

1. Prepare Your Wallet

You will need a POL-compatible wallet, such as OKX Wallet, Metamask, or other supported wallets.

Using OKX Wallet as an example:

• Install the browser extension wallet from the Chrome Web Store.
• Complete wallet initialization with default settings. Search for and add POL at the bottom of the wallet dashboard.
• Deposit POL to your wallet (be sure to select ERC-20, the Ethereum network) and a small amount of ETH for network fees, then proceed.

Important: Always back up your wallet private key and never share it with anyone.

2. Stake POL

• On f2pool’s staking page, find Polygon and click “Stake Now”. Select “Continue” in the pop-up to go to https://staking.polygon.technology/ staking page.   

  

• Click “Continue” in the pop-up.

  

• Click “Connect Wallet”, select “OKX Wallet” in the pop-up, and confirm in your wallet.

  

• Search for “stake.fish” or click this link to go to the POL staking page.

  

• Click “Delegate”, enter the amount of POL to stake, then click “Approve” after confirming.

  

• In the wallet pop-up, click “Max”, then click “Confirm amount”.

  

• Click “Confirm” in your wallet.

  

• Staking completed successfully.

  

3. Claim Staking Rewards

• You can view and claim your POL staking rewards by clicking “My account” in the top-left corner of https://staking.polygon.technology/. Rewards are distributed once per checkpoint (approximately 19–34 minutes).

  

4. Unstake POL

• Go to https://staking.polygon.technology/ and select “My account” in the top-left corner.

  

• Click “Unbond” at the bottom of the page and enter the amount to unstake (partial unstaking is supported). Rewards will be claimed automatically upon unstaking. Funds will arrive after the lock-up period (2–3 days).
