On May 7, 2025, Ethereum launched its Pectra upgrade, which includes 11 Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs). Key changes for validators include:
- EIP-7251: Increases the validator balance cap from 32 ETH to 2048 ETH, allowing for re-depositing or merging validators for increased rewards (compounding).
- EIP-6110: Moves deposits to the execution layer, reducing activation wait times and speeding up staking, with deposit processing times reduced to approximately 13 minutes (down from around 12 hours).
- EIP-7002: Allows direct on-chain unstaking or partial withdrawals, making staked funds more flexible and straightforward to access.
f2pool has partnered with stakefish to provide users with a secure and reliable ETH staking service. You can stake ETH, top up your validator, or consolidate validators with stakefish.
1. Stake ETH
1) Go to the f2pool ETH staking page, click Stake now and click Continue in the pop-up window.
2) You will be redirected to the stakefish Dashboard. Click CONNECT WALLET to connect your ETH wallet.
3) Once your wallet is connected, the webpage will go to the staking mode. Alternatively, you can click STAKE NOW and go to the staking modal on the Dashboard directly.
4) Under the Classic staking tab, click New Staking, then choose how much ETH you’d like to stake — from a minimum of 32 to a maximum of 2048 ETH. The Auto Compound Rewards feature is enabled by default, but you can turn it off if needed.
Once the Auto Compound Rewards feature is on, the Validator will be a “compound validator” and the staking rewards will be automatically transferred to the compound validator to achieve compound interest. The Validator can also be topped up or consolidated later.
5) Select how many validators to create with the slider in the Number of validators.
For example, if you want to stake 1000 ETH, and the number of validators you choose to create is 25, then the amount of ETH for each validator is 40 ETH (the amount of ETH for a single validator cannot be less than 32 ETH).
6) Click STAKE VALIDATOR(S). In the pop-up window, check that you have read the terms of service and click CONFIRM.
7) Approve the transaction that pops up in your wallet.
8) Once the above steps are completed, a Transaction submitted notification will appear on the webpage.
9) When the staking transaction has been confirmed by the Ethereum network, the web page will notify TRANSACTION CONFIRMED at the top right corner.
10) Go to Dashboard, you will see your Validator is Pending.
11) When your Validator is activated, its status will become Active, your ETH staking is done, and staking rewards begin to be generated.
You can also find the target Validator in the Validator list on the Dashboard, click View details, select the Pubkey, and check their deposit status on beaconcha.in.
2. Top-up Validator
After the Pectra upgrade, you can top up the Compound Validator with the following steps:
1) Go to stakefish Dashboard, find the Validator that needs to be topped up in the Validator list, and click View details.
2) Click Top up on the pop-up window.
3) Enter the amount of ETH you want to top up on the pop-up window.
4) Click TOP UP VALIDATOR, and approve the transaction in your wallet. Your top-up amount will enter the entry queue and be added to your validator.
5) Alternatively, click STAKE MORE on the Dashboard, and go to the staking modal. Choose Top up on the Classic staking tab, and top up the target validator.
3. Consolidate Validator
1) Go to stakefish Dashboard, select the validators you want to consolidate, and click CONSOLIDATE.
2) Choose a validator in the selected validators to be the Target validator, click CONSOLIDATE, and approve the transaction in your wallet.
3) Once the consolidating transaction is confirmed, all ETH will be consolidated to the Target validator.
If you want to check the status of the consolidating, find the Target validator in the Validator list on the Dashboard, click View details, select the Pubkey, and check the Consol. part of the Validator corresponding to this Pubkey on beaconcha.in.
