Pool updates in response to ALEO protocol upgrade

According to the previous announcement, and in preparation for the new PoW+PoS mining model to activate on 2025-08-01, f2pool will implement the following updates:

ALEO staking

To maximize miners’ potential rewards, f2pool has suspended automatic ALEO daily payouts starting as of 2025-07-12 00:00 UTC. f2pool will use account hashrate snapshot data on 2025-07-31 as the basis for providing ALEO staking support. The staking arrangement is as follows:

From 2025-08-01 00:00 to 2025-09-01 00:00 UTC, f2pool will provide supplementary staking amounts based on the hashrate recorded in the snapshot. If a user’s ALEO account balance is insufficient to meet the staking requirement for their snapshot hashrate, f2pool will cover the additional required ALEO tokens for staking.

Please note: If you increase your ALEO hashrate after the snapshot is completed, f2pool will not automatically provide additional staking support. If you plan to increase your hashrate, please contact f2pool support.

ALEO payouts

1. To support the staking requirements under the new protocol to activate on 2025-08-01, f2pool has stopped all ALEO payouts as of 2025-07-29 00:00 UTC. Manual resumption of automatic payouts is also not supported at this time.
2. We will launch the feature of withdrawal for ALEO mining rewards with custom amounts before 2025-08-15. Until this feature goes live, your mining rewards will continue to accumulate in your account balance. Please stay tuned for further announcements.
3. ALEO balances in user accounts will start generating staking rewards from 2025-08-02. The current estimated annualized yield is 9%, with actual returns subject to final settlement results and network conditions.
