Bells (BEL) is a Proof-of-Work network launched in 2013. Based on the Scrypt mining algorithm, it can be mined using common Scrypt miners. BEL has a maximum supply of 500 million, with no pre-mining, and features random block rewards.
For basic information about Bells, refer to this Bitcoin talk thread. To view its network information, you can use Bells’s block explorer. You can join f2pool’s BEL mining pool by following the steps below.
1. Obtain suitable hardware
✅ Bells can be efficiently mined with ASIC mining machines.
❌ Bells cannot be efficiently mined with CPU or GPU cards.
2. Sign up for an f2pool account
You will need to create an f2pool account before mining Bells. If you do not have one yet, please click here to register.
Setting an account name will be required for configuration. You are free to create multiple subaccounts to monitor your mining machines.
3. Configure your mining device
For configuration, you could use a browser that accesses the IP address of your machine, or a batch management software. You will need to enter the following information into your mining device:
Password: Your choice, such as 123
1. Your account_name is provided in your Account Settings.
2. worker_name is optional, but we recommend labeling each of your mining devices with a separate worker_name for more efficient monitoring.
3. To set the Pool/URL, more regional URLs are available for your selection:
4. Add payout address
You’ll need to acquire a payout address to collect your mining rewards. You can add or change your payout address in your Payout Settings. f2pool distributes mining revenues on a daily basis to every user who reaches the payout threshold, which is 1 BEL. Details about our payout method and fees can be found here.
If you do not yet have a Bells address, you will need to get one. Currently, you could use the full node wallet to generate an address to receive your payouts, referring to the steps. Note: You should always do your own due diligence when choosing a wallet provider or exchange.
5. Start mining!
