When mining with some ASIC miners, such as IceRiver KS3L and Antminer KS3, some users may encounter an abnormally high rejection rate or low hashrate. To address this issue, try adjusting the initial difficulty in the configuration.
Setting the appropriate initial difficulty can ensure that your machine submits shares at a speed that matches the acceptance speed of the mining pool, resulting in a higher hashrate received on the side of the mining pool.
Setup
To adjust the initial difficulty, change the text in the “Password” field. The initial difficulty can be calculated as 2^n. Set it according to the hashrate of your miner, using the table below as a reference.
Miner’s Hashrate | Password |
2TH/s | d=512 |
4TH/s | d=1024 |
8TH/s | d=2048 |
… | … |
For example, if your miner has a hashrate of 2 TH/s, set the password to “d=512”.
